{"id":3833,"date":"2015-03-23T23:15:30","date_gmt":"2015-03-23T23:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/redmeadow.com\/?p=3833"},"modified":"2015-03-23T23:18:41","modified_gmt":"2015-03-23T23:18:41","slug":"springishness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/?p=3833","title":{"rendered":"Springishness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We planted some lettuce and swiss chard seeds in the greenhouse on February 10th.\u00a0 The baby plants are just now starting to get a little bigger but no real leaves yet, so I&#8217;m not sure how ahead of the game we got planting them so early.\u00a0 But still, we planted seeds in February!!\u00a0 That must be worth something.<\/p>\n<p>Today we put the shade on the greenhouse.\u00a0 It was a little tricky getting the first corner where it belonged but then the rest was actually pretty easy.\u00a0 And it makes a difference in the overall heat in the greenhouse, combined with opening a couple of side windows, it knocked the temperature down from in the 90&#8217;s to the mid 70&#8217;s, which all the plants will like a lot better.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3844\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/greenhouse-shade.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3844\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3844\" title=\"greenhouse-shade\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/greenhouse-shade.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/greenhouse-shade.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/greenhouse-shade-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3844\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">It makes the light inside the greenhouse a lot softer. We had been waiting for a day when it wasn&#39;t windy, or raining, or snowing. The collar is for a stove pipe for a gas water heater.
