We woke up to a foot of snow fall over the previous 24 hours, on Wednesday morning, almost all of it overnight. Heavy wet snow, too, which weighed trees and branches down.<\/p>\n

It was a good thing Dan had already shoveled the first three inches that fell late Tuesday afternoon. This was very heavy work.<\/p><\/div>\n

As the temperatures warmed up, the snow starts sliding off the metal roofing.<\/p><\/div>\n

This is why I want to have different roofing, besides metal.\u00a0 When these heavy sheets of snow fall from the upper roof they land with a loud crash.\u00a0 And then the doubled load of snow slides off and lands on our walkways, and must be shoveled off again.\u00a0 We’ve cleared the sidewalks by the door several times since this last snowfall.<\/p>\n

We had much entertainment plowing the driveway, clearing small trees which were falling over the road.\u00a0\u00a0 Temperatures are going to plummet by Saturday morning, with a predicted low of -13F.\u00a0 This wet snow would have set up like concrete, so we’re very happy to get the driveway cleaned up as much as possible.<\/p>\n
