The tomato plants have quadrupled in size and all five plants are blooming and\/or setting fruit.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3312\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3312\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3312\" title=\"june29-garden1\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3312\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Humidity and temperature are high in the greenhouse which is what all these plants seem to love. I forget to wait until the camera lense unfogs before taking a picture.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It has the same effect on my glasses when I first walk in.\u00a0 The tomato plants were small when we planted them and now all are above the top rim of the cages.\u00a0 We ate one of the Swiss Chard plants, and harvested about half the leaves on the second remaining chard plant in the greenhouse.\u00a0 It&#8217;s really growing well.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3313\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3313\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3313\" title=\"june29-garden2\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden2.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3313\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The melon plant in the corner seems to grow every few minutes! It is getting blossoms forming, and we are really looking forward to some of our own Honeydew melons from this plant in a few months.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Next to the melon plant, the slicing cucumber plants are both starting to take off and put on growth.\u00a0 They are way ahead of the pickling cucumbers, even though all were planted the same day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3314\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3314\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3314\" title=\"june29-garden3\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden3.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dan and our neighbor Spencer hauled dirt down to hill around the potato plants. We planted two varieties and the plants grow quite differently.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In this bed we planted a row of dill seeds on the left side, and a row of Walla Walla sweet onion sets on the right hand side.\u00a0 At the back are a couple of volunteer lettuce plants which are almost big enough to pull.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll have a salad from them this week, for dinner.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3315\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3315\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3315\" title=\"june29-garden4\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden4.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden4-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The early spring planting bed is already producing food.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We&#8217;ve picked some of the Swiss Chard at the front of the bed.\u00a0 Lettuce and carrots and spinach come next, and then the Chinese Cabbage plants are huge!\u00a0 Behind them are more carrots and lettuce.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve picked all the radishes we planted, and the first row of spinach.\u00a0 Peas are blooming and have pods which were flat a couple of days ago and now starting to fatten up.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll be able to pick peas in a couple of weeks and then we&#8217;ll plant a second batch of Yellow Snap Beans where the peas are living now.<\/p>\n<p>The strawberry beds are covered with a floating row cover to thwart the chipmunks who thinks strawberries are totally scrumptious.\u00a0 Well, they are, but we want them instead.\u00a0 Yesterday we each had a few sun warmed totally ripe berries, and there are lots of berries on the verge of ripening.\u00a0 In a few days we&#8217;ll get to harvest a bowl of them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3316\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3316\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3316\" title=\"june29-garden5\" src=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden5.jpg 650w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/june29-garden5-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3316\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">One of the climbing roses. These plants are growing well. I hope the fruits get a bit bigger. These will be mostly seeds.
