{"id":2448,"date":"2011-06-24T11:17:59","date_gmt":"2011-06-24T19:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.wordpress.com\/?p=2448"},"modified":"2011-06-24T11:17:59","modified_gmt":"2011-06-24T19:17:59","slug":"first-harvest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/?p=2448","title":{"rendered":"First harvest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our first garden produce was, predictably enough, radishes.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2463\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/radish.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2463\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2463\" title=\"radish\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/radish.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"456\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2463\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Delicious, sweet and spicy.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This makes us very optimistic for the other things we have planted.\u00a0 I over-did it a bit with the corn, and have a lot of thinning to do in the very near future.<\/p>\n<p>We had a bear visitor the other evening,about a half hour before sunset.\u00a0 Terry spotted the visitor first.\u00a0 If we end up deaf someday, we can blame living in bear country as a contributing factor.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2464\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/bear-by-garage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2464\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2464\" title=\"bear-by-garage\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/bear-by-garage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2464\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The concrete wall at the base of the garage is two feet tall.
