Thoughts of it, anyway."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We went over to visit friends today, as Susan wanted us to get together and do watercolors together.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t done any new paintings for over five years, so it was a very fun afternoon.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2156\" style=\"width: 377px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/rufus-1-15-11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2156\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2156\" title=\"rufus-1-15-11\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/01\/rufus-1-15-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2156\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A male Rufous Hummingbird, on a Larch branch.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>More practicing necessary, but I&#8217;ve been wanting to get back to painting again.<\/p>\n<p>While we were there, we saw a flock of Red-winged Blackbirds.\u00a0 Wow, they&#8217;re early!\u00a0 And the chickadees are singing, and we saw a pair of Clark&#8217;s Nutcrackers doing kissy-face.<\/p>\n<p>And the Birch trees got carried away and have catkins already.<\/p>\n<p>Spring is coming!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We went over to visit friends today, as Susan wanted us to get together and do watercolors together.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t done any new paintings for over five years, so it was a very fun afternoon.
