{"id":1745,"date":"2010-07-30T15:38:20","date_gmt":"2010-07-30T23:38:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.wordpress.com\/?p=1745"},"modified":"2010-07-30T15:38:20","modified_gmt":"2010-07-30T23:38:20","slug":"more-sunsets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/?p=1745","title":{"rendered":"More sunsets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Summer time gives us more sunsets, especially if there are clouds in the area.\u00a0 We seem to get two sorts of sunsets, ones with oranges and greens in the sky, or those that are red and blues.\u00a0 It all depends on where the clouds are when the sun goes down.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1760\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/golden-sunset.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1760\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1760\" title=\"golden-sunset\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/golden-sunset.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1760\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sun rays shooting up from a golden ball of light.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_1761\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/sky-on-fire.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1761\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1761\" title=\"sky-on-fire\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/sky-on-fire.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1761\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A molten orange glow shading into raspberry, and purple haze.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This last one in particular was pretty amazing.\u00a0 That night there were multiple thunderstorms to the west and south of us.\u00a0 While the sun was setting, bright orange bolts of lightning were criss-crossing the sky through the dark purple clouds.\u00a0 I wasn&#8217;t so lucky as to catch one on the camera, so I merely watched the storm marching northward.\u00a0 It was so hot and muggy.<\/p>\n<p>Again today it is very hot.\u00a0 The weather forecasters have promised cooling temperatures tomorrow and Sunday, but the cost is going to be thunderstorms.\u00a0 We are in the height of fire season now.\u00a0 The weather is very muggy today and the air feels heavy.<\/p>\n<p>Furniture we bought early this week was delivered today, seats for the sunroom, and a small table which is the perfect height for my laptop.\u00a0 It is going to be a great space for working and watching the world go by, from morning until things get too hot, and again after the sun goes down and cool air flows down the mountain and swirls around and into the sunroom windows.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1762\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/sunroom-furniture.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1762\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1762\" title=\"sunroom-furniture\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/sunroom-furniture.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1762\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mishkin found the new chairs and table quite interesting momentarily, but then it was time for his afternoon siesta and off he went to steal Dan&#039;s computer chair.  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to watching the sunset this evening from my new chair!\u00a0 I hope there is one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summer time gives us more sunsets, especially if there are clouds in the area.\u00a0 We seem to get two sorts of sunsets, ones with oranges and greens in the sky, or those that are red and blues.\u00a0 It all depends on where the clouds are when the sun goes down.
