{"id":1287,"date":"2009-12-06T10:07:09","date_gmt":"2009-12-06T18:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.wordpress.com\/?p=1287"},"modified":"2009-12-06T10:07:09","modified_gmt":"2009-12-06T18:07:09","slug":"december-5th-snowfall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/?p=1287","title":{"rendered":"December 5th Snowfall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Annoying as it may be sometimes, the weather forecasters got it right yesterday and they seem to have it right for the next few days.\u00a0 We woke up to +7F for our low temperature, and tomorrow it is predicted to be around -6F.\u00a0 That means our snow isn&#8217;t going to go away this time like it has been doing.\u00a0 Winter appears to have arrived.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1288\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1288\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1288\" title=\"dec5-snowfall\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall.jpg 500w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1288\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tiny dry snowflakes accumulated yesterday, giving us a couple of inches by our house, and many more inches further up on the slopes.  The ski resort must be deliriously happy today.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The snow kept knocking us offline yesterday, or the clouds.\u00a0 Something was definitely wreaking havoc with our internet connection.\u00a0 Today we have clear skies and once we brush off the solar panels, we will get great solar gain on our power.\u00a0 There is no hurry to get outside however, as the sun won&#8217;t begin to touch the panels until around 11 am.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1289\" style=\"width: 211px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1289\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1289\" title=\"dec5-snowfall2\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall2.jpg?w=201\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall2.jpg 335w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dec5-snowfall2-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1289\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This light fluffy snowfall did nothing to weigh down the branches on the pine and fir trees downhill from our house. This particular bunny was running joyously past the front deck, leaving his foot prints as a memento of his passing.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Inside the house it is business as usual.\u00a0 Dan built a fire in the wood stove in the living room, and later today we&#8217;ll build one downstairs in the laundry room wood stove.\u00a0 It will make the batteries happy and better able to store and retain the power from the solar panels.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1292\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/fetch-anyone.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1292\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1292\" title=\"fetch-anyone\" src=\"http:\/\/mtnmacaw.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/fetch-anyone.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/fetch-anyone.jpg 500w, https:\/\/redmeadow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/fetch-anyone-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1292\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&quot;Cats don&#39;t play fetch.&quot;  This is his motto, mouse evidence notwithstanding.
